What the coating does.

Blue light is a high-energy part of the visible spectrum, reaching you from screens, LED lighting and daylight. Some exposure helps regulate your sleep-wake cycle; long stretches of it can leave your eyes tired and strained.

The coating carries materials that selectively absorb or reflect blue-violet wavelengths while letting other light through, so the lens keeps its clarity rather than casting a heavy tint.

What does minimum fitting height mean?

Minimum fitting height (MFH) is the shortest vertical lens depth a progressive design needs to fit all of its viewing zones. A frame shallower than the MFH cannot take that lens, which is why your optician measures the frame before confirming the design.
