Prescription & Addition

Works out the power you will actually perceive once the lenses are glazed into your frame, rather than the power measured on its own.

Pantoscopic Angle

The vertical tilt between the optical axis of the lens and your line of sight when you look straight ahead.

Nasopupillary Distance

The distance from the centre line of your face to the centre of each pupil, measured for each eye separately.

Near Working Distance

How far the lens sits from the page or screen at your usual reading position.

Pupillary Heights

The vertical distance between your pupil centre and the deepest part of the glazed lens shape.

Frame Dimensions

Used to calculate the finished lens diameter and thickness, and to sharpen the optimisation.

Wrap Angle

How far the frame curves around your face.

Back Vertex Distance

The gap between your cornea and the back surface of the lens.

What is the difference between DigiPro 2.0 and ULTIPRO Bluecut?

DigiPro 2.0 is a progressive lens design with near, intermediate and distance viewing zones. ULTIPRO Bluecut is a surface coating with antireflective and blue-light-filtering properties. They serve different purposes; ask the optical team which combinations are available.

What does minimum fitting height mean?

Minimum fitting height (MFH) is the shortest vertical lens depth a progressive design needs to fit all of its viewing zones. A frame shallower than the MFH cannot take that lens, which is why your optician measures the frame before confirming the design.

How much do Clariviz lenses cost?
